About Converge

CONVERGE is a Track 2 dialogue that will BASELINE key technical, policy, and operational approaches of select Indo-Pacific countries on artificial intelligence and semiconductors to propose ways to HARMONIZE efforts that will ENHANCE cross-border tech collaboration between actors operating in different contexts.

Mindful that tech innovation does not occur in a vacuum, CONVERGE will undertake a more pragmatic approach to research and dialogue by emphasizing policy and industry perspectives to ensure that the insights and recommendations generated are feasible in the real-world setting.

Adopting a more inclusive and practical approach to Critical and Emerging Technology collaboration, CONVERGE will engage experts, practitioners, and professionals from the US, Japan, Australia, India, and Singapore, and the Philippines.

CONVERGE: The Indo-Pacific Critical Tech Forum 2024 is supported by the Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs at the US Department of State and implemented by Pacific Forum’s Cybersecurity and Critical Technologies program

Critical Tech Playbook

The key outcomes of CONVERGE shall be published in the Critical Technologies Policy Playbook to establish a secure and collaborative innovation ecosystem, thus, building confidence and trust among key stakeholders from the public and private sectors in the US, Japan, Australia, India, Singapore, the Philippines, and the rest of the Indo-Pacific.
